Specialist training
A Wellingtonian by birth, Brendan worked in Australia and the UK before completing his specialist training at Midlands Hospital.
Following this he spent three years in cancer research at Newcastle University, UK, completing a PhD.
About Brendan Luey
Brendan returned to Midlands in 2012 to take up a specialist appointment in medical oncology at the CCDHB.
He treats a variety of tumour types but maintains an interest in lung cancer and is a member of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer.
